Research has demonstrated that bystander compression only CPR can double to triple survival! It is also well documented that students from 7th-12th grade are excellent teachers of Compression Only CPR when asked to “pay it forward” and teach their family and friends. Unfortunately it is also true that most CPR training videos are boring and outdated. The purpose of this competition is to have students create fun and contemporary compression only CPR videos. These videos will be judged on a local, regional, and State level. The top 3 videos will be posted on YouTube and the entire State will vote. The top video will be played at major sporting events in the Chicago-land area. Chicago Public Library invites your students to judge a book by its cover for the chance to win! For this year’s Teen Winter Challenge (December 15-January 5), we’re asking teens to redesign a book cover that doesn’t tell the whole story. Teens can create a new cover image in the artistic medium of their choice and submit it to [email protected] to be entered in a raffle for three video cameras and three drawing kits. See the attached.
