Goals
The purpose of this activity is to:
- Reintroduce the research process using the Big6 research model
- Locate available database sources
- Practice keyword and advance filter searching
- Begin brainstorming possible questions
- Seek answers to questions
- Utilize Google@CPS apps for education and collaboration
- Analyze and think critically about topics relevant to student life
The Big6 Research Model
Listed below are the six basic steps of the Big6 model and components of each step commonly referred to as "the little twelve." Big6 is a six-stage model to help anyone solve problems or make decisions by using information. Using the Big6 information literacy process, you will identify information research goals, seek, use, and assemble relevant, credible information, then to reflect— is the final product effective and was my process efficient.

2. Information Seeking Strategies
2.1 Determine the range of possible sources (brainstorm)
2.2 Evaluate the different possible sources to determine priorities (select the best sources)

Day One: Individual Research
You will use the CPS Databases to Identify some benefits and disadvantages of technological advancement in each subject: music, education, and communication. Please use the graphic organizer for note taking. This assignment is worth 30 points. "Day One: individual Research" must be completed before you meet in groups to create Google Presentations. You will turn it in to me the day your group presents.

This project is worth a total of 100 points. Students will be graded individually using the rubric created for this assignment.

- You can access your Google Slide anywhere you have internet - no need for a flash drive
- All members can work on the Google Slide at the same time or on there on when they have time - no need to arrange multiple meetings
- Revision history - each member's contribution is documented
How To Google Slides Guides
Rubric expectations include:
- All text should being displayed in Spanish
- Verbal presentation should be in complete Spanish
- Presenter volume should be loud and clear
- Each student says at least 10 complete sentences in Spanish
- Each student should create and present 3 slides: benefits, disadvantages, and a personal opinion
- An image or audio file should be added for each presenter
- Each students lists their source citations in MLA format
- "Technology Research" graphic organizer should be completed
